Thanks for the reply, Redwine. When I'm on the bridge view in fog, I see a hazey band, and then a black band beyond. In outside camera view at sea level I see a band of haze/mist but as I raise the camera only slightly I see the black sea that I am talking about beyond. I have tried posting an image to imageshack but I must be doing something wrong because it doesn't seem to work. I'll keep trying.
