Yeah, I never got into the Next Generation. Seemed to derivative from the original. Data bugged me, he was like a cross between the tin man and a watered-down Spock, and what's with the kid and the Klingon on the bridge? Once I retire I'll give it a second look. The special effects are superb, too bad Kirk and co. didn't have that available to them in the 60's.
