In my opinion, this simply turns off the hydrophone or the work of the sonarman. A strange "ability" that I've never used. But thanks to the cool script automation system, you can set up sonarman reports at any you like frequency. Reports about the nearest ship or the nearest warship. Well, for attacks without a periscope, the ability to set a firing bearing from a hydrophone station is really lacking. Only if you first set the desired one in the periscope and then sit back at the hydrophone. But if periscope is dead you cant it.
