your quest is going to be difficult to accomplish simply because the film clip does not show enough of the ship from abeam AND because films, like this, that were produced by the USN during the war, were notorious for splicing film clips from cameras on different ships, just like a hollywood movie editor would do.

my SWAG's would be, in no particular order, Gridley Class, Farragut Class, Gleaves Class, or Rudderow Class. The shadows in effect when the film was produced make it nigh impossible to make out distinguishing features.

like i said above, it's tough to identify without a beam photo.
