Maybe thats the problem STEED. Perhaps if we saw more of what war does, I mean the graphic stuff, we wouldn't be so easily seduced by the romance of honor and victory.

I don't think war is honor at all, war is about killing the person on the other side and destroy their resources and so on. I read books about WW2 and some of them have horrific details in them. The only differences from WW2 and now is the weapons are much more destructive.
