This is not yet a problem at a distance from the opponent. However, it is difficult to maneuver when a destroyer using sonar is approaching. How to "evade" the electromagnetic signal then?

Is there a patch that will improve this? For example, is it possible to set the Hard to Port or Hard to Steerbord keys so that they allow you to change the course by only 3-5 degrees with one press? Another press – course change by another 3-5 degrees?
Is it enough to overwrite the lines of code in the Data folder? Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer...

From what I remember, in SH III you could manually tilt even the horizontal rudders.

* In TMO, a patch can be used that causes water/hearing disturbances after the drop of depth charges. Is there one for RFB? I tried searching the SubSim.com forum.

ahoy, teed.

you can manually deflect the rudders in SH4.
go to the Nav Map. on the HUD there is a dial for direction. below the dial there is a small graphic of horizontals. click on the horizontals and the dial changes from direction to to rudder deflection. the horizontals are a toggle to switch between true direction and rudder deflection.

i assume that you can take it from here.

good luck!
