I went with NYGM full... but I got awful frustrated when I couldn't tell why my torpedoes missed (I knew they missed, but that was all).
So I switched external views on. After firing my torp's, I'd drop the 'scope and switch to the ext. view, and follow my torp's in. That way, I'd be able to see why I missed... too slow, too fast, dud, impact angle was too great, etc.
Went with that for a bit 'til I grew comfortable with my abilities, then stopped. I was extremely impressed a couple nights ago when I sank a tramp steamer in 14m/s winds simply by the seat of my pants... rough range estimate, guessed at the speed, from close range... and hit 'er amidships. I was ecstatic
