Every piece of text and code inside the files that came with SHIII is UBI´s. We can mod them, but without UBI´s permission to do so, something like X1 can take them and sell them. Hell, take could even take the whole TGW mod and make cover art for it and put to shelves. They have permission to mod the files, we dont.  |
Even if X1 have permission, they have it for selling the stuff they modified themselves. There are some things like original textures, models, text which does not and can't belong to UBI. F.e. they had to take away some additions to a campaign written by Nico because he threatened to sue them. Unfortunately, some modders did not even know that X1 took their stuff so they could not act in time.
