I'm glad this ended well for the dog and the owners. People do really stupid things.
One time in a good natured argument with a girlfriend, I told her I was taking our adopted cat with me. She replied that she would call the F.B.I. I replied that while the F.B.I investigates kidnappings and such, they don't investigate cat nappings.
I'm glad this story had a happy ending.
