I was using magnetic for any shots where i couldn't get to a good AOB. Especially shots from behind. I had to give it up when i installed NYGM2.0. I had 4 torpedos explode .5M under a large cargo ships with magnetic. It damage it in any noticeable way.

I think NYGM adjustments make magnetic detonations pretty useless.

But I work hard to get +/-5 of 90* AOB for most of my shots. Lots less torps bouncing off hulls than otherwise.
