Putin began to travel by armored train because of fear of being liquidated - mass media
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin uses an armored train to travel long distances.
As reported by Censor.NET, this is stated in the investigation of the Dossier Center.
"On trips over long distances, the Russian president mostly preferred to use the boards of the Russian flying special forces. This was the case until recently. But in August-September 2021, Putin switched to an armored train," the authors of the article say.
According to journalists, an acquaintance of Putin said: "After the start of the war, in February-March, he began to use the train very actively, especially to get to his residence in Valdai." This information was also confirmed by a source in the administration of the Russian dictator.
Putin began to use the armored train more actively for his trips through Russia in the fall of 2021, precisely at the time when the Russian Federation began to prepare for war against Ukraine. Putin travels by armored train to his favorite residences in Valdai and Sochi.
Investigators note that Putin began traveling by armored train out of fear of being liquidated, since the movement of planes is easier to track in real time than passenger trains.
In the story, it is reported that the armored train has a bedroom, an office, a car for accompanying personnel and a car for special communications. The train is disguised as a regular passenger train, but it is issued by special equipment on the roof of one of the cars. Outwardly, the armored train is similar to a regular train, only instead of four axles it has six, instead of one locomotive - several, and special equipment is placed on the roof.
According to journalists' estimates, the train may cost a little more than 1 billion Russian rubles. The authors also found out that the special train matching the description belongs to the Grand Service Express company, which was owned by an offshore company associated with Putin associate Yuriy Kovalchuk and businessman Mykhailo Rabinovich, who is said to be a good acquaintance of Kovalchuk.
Photos of the outside of the train have never been officially published. Source:
