<My folks on their wedding day ca: 1950...My chemical engineer dad had served in WWII in Army Air Corps (-1st Lt. 5yrs. ); had an employment deferment ( artifact documents kept in my file cabinet!) to stay home making instant coffee/tea products deemed 'essential to the war effort' for the K-rations; and so probably avoided getting ex-officer-recalled up & shot down by MIG's over Korea in B-29's. I came along about 9 months later....

In later years, I asked mom about the close timing; she responded wickedly: "Oh yeah, we forgot to tell U; You're a bastard!"
