Russians may repeat missile attack on December 6, - Air Force
Russia may launch a new missile attack on the territory of Ukraine already on Tuesday, December 6.
Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, announced this on the air of the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Suspilne.
"They can repeat today. First, it is a holiday (Day of the Armed Forces. - Ed.). Second, we see such trends that on October 10-11, October 17-18, strikes were carried out on one day, on the second day they struck somewhat less, but they still attacked," the soldier recalled.
He urged Ukrainians to always remember the missile threat.
"We must be ready for this. The entire Ukrainian nation must live in such realities, without any panic, with a cold mind. And the Armed Forces will do what they do best - protect citizens, their state," the spokesman emphasized.
Ignat added that during the previous attack, the Ukrainian military destroyed more than 60 Russian missiles, but Ukraine needs more forces and means to effectively defend against threats from the air.
"On December 5, another Russian aggression was repelled from the air, more than 60 rockets of the occupiers were shot down. And this is the merit of all the Defense Forces, the Air Force, everyone who defends our skies today. Many lives were saved today, critical infrastructure objects were saved. From the beginning since October, the enemy is doing it methodically, it is not changing its basic tactical plans - they are using aircraft, ships, other means. nothing new. S-300 missiles are also being launched from the Caspian Sea, from the Volgodonsk region. The Air Force is doing what it always does - it is fighting back," he said.
He noted that the air defense forces consist of anti-aircraft missile forces, engaged aviation, as well as mobile fire groups armed with anti-aircraft missile systems.
"The results show the serious training of the defenders of the sky. And we will continue to do it, hit the enemy as much as we can. We count on the support of our partners, who supply us with the necessary and modern air defense equipment little by little - this is the German Gepard, and IRIS-T, and NASAMS. We need more such systems so that we can really protect and strengthen the existing air defense systems, the basis of which today still consists of the Soviet Buk-M1 and S-300 complexes," noted Yuriy Ihnat.
The spokesman of the Air Force expressed hope that, in particular, the American side would help Ukraine in this matter. Source:

Reznikov on military aid from West: I am convinced that we will have tanks of NATO standards and even combat aircraft
Ukraine can receive Western tanks and combat aircraft from partners. But it must be understood that this is not just a matter of political negotiations, but of technological and logistical ones.
The head of the Ministry of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, stated this on the telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
Reznikov also made a statement regarding Ukraine's prospects for obtaining Patriot air defense systems.
"The fact is that Patriot is a medium-range air defense system, and NASAMS or IRIS-T is short, and there are even more long-range defeats. Everything is gradual, Patriot systems are very complex, expensive, and very long to manufacture. Compare, we even NASAMS received and now an order for new systems is underway for us. We received the IRIS-T from Germany and the production of new systems is underway. Therefore, this is an evolutionary path. You and I could not even imagine a year ago that we would have HIMARS, M270 systems or 155- and caliber," explained Reznikov.
He emphasized that one thing must be understood, Ukraine's partners are very practical, pragmatic and realistic.
"That's why they clearly understand - if they give a new system, they will realize that they have ammunition for them in their warehouses, missiles, systems for repair, there are instructors and our guys are trained," says Reznikov.
The head of the Ministry of Defense explains that this all takes time, but the main thing is that the industry of the partners is capable of producing such things.
"The same applies to Leopard tanks. Since they are 1st, 2nd and have different prices and conditions. Giving us two such tanks is useless, but 100 will matter. So they must be in good technical condition. Therefore, these are not just political negotiations, they are also technological and logistical. But I remain an optimist and believe that tanks of NATO standards will appear on the battlefield. And not only Leopard, just as today our artillery is fighting more than 8 155-caliber systems from different countries. Therefore, I am convinced, we will have tanks and even combat aircraft," the minister concluded. Source:
