When it comes to harder stuff, i like scottish single malts but they are getting expensive since "brexit". Cognac is very good of course but also expensive. I keep those for rarer events, or meetings with (old) friends.

For "vespertine" (does one really say that?) drinking (ahem) i prefer chech and bavarian beers when thirsty, and some spiced rum at times.
"The Kraken" is ok, and sometimes i drink this ready-made spiced Montoya rum-cola lately. Not good i know
the times you visit our little island-Marstal and/or aeroeskoebing did you taste our own beer and whiskey production ?
