When it comes to beer i pefer chech ones, much less bitter than the usual "Pilsener" most beers are based on in Germany. That said there are a lot of bavarian "Helles" non-Pilsener beers and i recently came to like them, too.
When it comes to harder stuff, i like scottish single malts but they are getting expensive since "brexit". Cognac is very good of course but also expensive. I keep those for rarer events, or meetings with (old) friends.

For "vespertine" (does one really say that?) drinking (ahem) i prefer chech and bavarian beers when thirsty, and some spiced rum at times.
"The Kraken" is ok, and sometimes i drink this ready-made spiced Montoya rum-cola lately. Not good i know
