I don’t know if the British English dictionary definition of quirky is different than the one across the pond. But over here I’d have to say ‘quirky’ probably isn’t exactly the right word to describe it.
Quirky: unusual in especially an interesting or appealing way.
I’d go with the “non-conformist tree” decorated with only the finest examples of the most baffling, mystifying and perplexing ornaments known to mankind.
