Ultimately it took nearly 7 hours to travel from Balmoral to Holyrood Palace. Evidently they put the pedal down once they got past Perth.
Better crowd turn out than I was expecting, which is good.
Unfortunately the drone couldn't follow the cortege through Aberdeen because it would have crossed the flightpath for Dyce Airport. If anyone was wondering why the drone stopped and drifted north, that's the reason.
I've already seen people on Twitter complaining about a lack of Union flags being waved by the crowd. Apart from a hardcore, most people up here feel no need to wave a bit of bunting around just to show their patriotism.
