Horiuchi's 1st shot might be justified depending on your opinion.
The 2nd shot? I feel that was uncalled for and a rash and wild shot.
In combat? Maybe one would attempt such a shot. In this situation?
Totally bad judgement on his part as the target was retreating and he did not acount for any possible collateral results of a rushed shot at a moving target.
