That's inaccurate; Federal sniper Horiuchy shot the wife, standing behind family friend, wounded Kevin Harris, and
Randy Weaver. Officer Degan was probably killed by the 12 year-old Sam Weaver...after the family dog was shot whilst being overly barky at hidden officers. Sam was shot in the back retreating from the dog shooting encounter by other officers near or attending to officer Degan. Those officers were equipped with silenced firearms'??!
