mega cruise ships?

RCCL annouces project genesis a 220,000 tonne cruise ship carrying 6,400 people, RCCL also have built Freedom of the seas 160,000 tonne cruise ship and now have a new ship coming down the line.

So do we need these ships why or why not ?
