I think that if a software company, any software company, wants to localize a product, this should be done in a professional manner. Otherwise just don't do it and leave it in english or leave the possibility to the fans or enthusiasts to translate the manual etc. IMO it's incredible that whoever commercialized the product in Europe did not discover these incompatibilities. And I don't think it's a question of loving or not the product you're going to sell, it's just a matter of being professional when doing one's job.
