if so then torpedoes were prone to running deeper or premature detonating
I would only use magnetic setting in calm seas in an early war setting

If your wind speed was 15 m/s the torpedoes can go too deep under the target as it's bouncing along in the waves.

2- What do you state rough mean? The was quite wavy and the weather was quite windy if you ask to me that.

Understood. In this case, what is your suggestion in this weather? Magnetic or impact one? How to regulate depht of torps?
