Thanks Catfish, I did try Win 7 Pro 32 bit in various compatibility modes but no go, it has problems with serial ports and background programs running in these various modes, anyway I'm 70 this year and lack enthusiasm!!
At least Yahoo and Bing run ok and they are not bad, can live with the various side effects.
