A gypsy once told me I was going to live till 71 or 72. So I've got a few years to go. Subsim's a great place to hang out. A great peer group.
I read the posts, most of them good humoured and passionate. And gotten to know a few guys here that I wouldn't mind meeting/sharing drinks and cigars with, if it ever comes to that. In particular Eich, Catfish, and of course CW. I think we'd get on quite well and have a good time

Yeah...Old age, didn't think I'd make it this far, everyone else in my little circle has passed away, I'm the last one left, the survivor. The worst one was my missus passing...that was a "learning experience" I can tell you. Never gotten over it, you don't, you adapt to it and it becomes the new reality.
Life goes on, and there's a whole new generation pulling the strings globally nowadays. I got a few friends I gotta mention, young foreign Uni students working locally at a fast food joint ( maccas ), young ladies from China , Nepal, Vietnam, all very pretty and very sweet. They really go out of their way for me, I usually intend only buying about $5 worth but end up waliking out with about $20 worth ( freebies ), " why are you girls so good to me" I say, "Because we love you... you're like our grandpa"
