Default Sub Skins Causing bug?

Anyone ever have a problem with a graphical sub skin mod causing a problem with gw? I rolled back commander, enabled a IIa skin and also fubar's U552 VIIc skin through jsmge (per read me files) for my campaign play (only other mods on clean install/patch1.4/gw at the time) then lauched from kiel in the duck. Everything was fine in game until after i fired my torps--the inner reserve torps would not load they moved to and just sat in the tube. had fresh full compartment crew, silent running was off, calm seas, and waited for three game days. torps never loaded, weapons officer states there waiting in que. at that point i noticed the duck had 3 inner reserve torps, i thought the IIa had only 2 reloads. tried many times through commander,rolling back then just loading through the icon---same results. also started w/ the VIIb and it would not reload. rolled back commander and disabled skin mods. same results using the IIa and noticed the game still had the VIIc fubar skin although it reloaded normally. could it be anything else other that the graphic skin causing the presumed incompatibility??? (same skins had no issue w/nygm, or rub 1.45.) --did complete reinstall--perfect timing, new sh3commander 2.6 and uwac "1.7 gw compatible" available, but would still like to use the skins.
