I had a closer look & it's a type II, came across the boat when leaving Wilhelmshaven in the evening, so it's a little hard to see.

The mod on top of grey wolves is "AI_Uboats_v2.0.rar" by Sergbuto, this maybe causing the problem?
It's a fairly new mod so may not work with GW, I do have some other mods but should have nothing to do with the u-boats.
