No no no, it's not that simple.... don't get your hopes up just yet
The reason being that you can't mix RAM chips that have different speeds, which is probably your case, since you mention that one computer is older than the other. Be sure to check that before trying to mix them together. Just like different processors are designed to run at different speeds (with the newer ones being ever faster) so do different memory modules are designed to run at different speeds, with the newer ones being ever faster to keep up with the newer processors.
