When I place those, do not show up as light houses but as coastal search lights and they do not work i.e. shine a light. They are just there as a bunker looking thing with a light that does not shine lol. Believe they do report your presence if spotted from shore though as had evaded some escorts were close to shore off japan after an attack but then one of those search lights was observed (was 1900 yards off beach at night) and soon radar showed the escorts turning around heading my way at high speed. Aircraft also came into the area searching exact location I was at when spotted the coastal light and assume it spotted me. Would be nice if it would illuminate player sub when alerted though.
