Where is your legacy machine that these run on?

SS II runs from a batch file I got from some german web site. It works on XP with no tweaking. I have no PC speaker so I cannot get sound. But, sound was pretty lame anyway with SS II.
ACOD will run with 512 mb of Ram but not on 1024 mb when used in conjuction with
VDMSOUND and XP.
Task Force 1942 works because I have my disks partitioned to FAT 32. So I can use a dos startup disk that comes with the program to run it.
I don not use DOS BOX. Mostly VDMSOUND. If I run into a problem then I try and boot from customized start up disk. But usually most games will work thru VDMSOUND and XP if configured right thru startup properties for that specific program.
