Hello all!

My intention is not going OT, but: First time ever I hit to the "interrupted crash dive problem" and actually I found it very enjoyable. To make long story short: My boat was in the Baltic, autumn '39. I ordered CD after the watch spotted the unkown ship. And then it started. I was unable to carry on approach or anything. After the ship passed and dissapeared, we surfaced and run with diesels just enough to charge the batteries. Then I dived again to check "what is the matter". Finally I allowed the boat to go down to bottom, 137 meters. Got some minor damage but managed to surface again after repairs (NYGM 2.0). Finally I informed BdU "we were coming back, becaus the boat was unable to keep its balance, reason unknown..." :rotfl:

OK. This made me wonder:

I found this problem, as I said, to be OK. Very interesting actually. Some real problems with the boat, suddenly. Then... There is this mini game (USS Holland)... Up to this moment I have allways feeled negative towards frequently asked possibility to really trim your boat in the sim. But now I'm thinking that might be both interesting and not that hard to build in. You know... Maybe changes in water salinity and temperature could be modelled also, like the weather is, so your trim could be different today than it was yesterday. Dunno if this a good idea, and I'm not maybe thinking somekind of mod for the SHIII but maybe Devs work with IV.

And have to say, I like this humming bird - mod. Very much. Thank you modders!

Sorry the long post.
