As I know of.. hitting that hot key, ''P'' is by all rights, supposed to submerge your uboat to periscope depth... that is, unless you have external torps, being moved from their storage racks outside the sub.. & have or are using h.sie's patch, which does include in it, if that is going on.. your NOT diving until the torp in progress is completely in the can aka ''sub''.
Without details, such as if you're running SH3 stock, have mods added in, is not much to go on... & what I've outlined, is applicable if you are in fact, using mods.. even patches such as h.sie's count... in the long haul here...
