Yeah... Suez and Panama are closed. It makes me sad too. They really did a very cursory job when the put together the geographic database. It's like they based it on low resolution satellite data. I wonder what it would take to do something more high resolution. As I poke around strategic spots all over the world, I notice all sorts of anomalies. The port of Aden is my favorite example. It's just... odd shaped. Port Said and the Suez canal is another good one, though. |
They outsourced the geography.
The next level of resolution would have been 12 gigs on disk.
