Finally decided to go back and have a double check of this ship we talk about it before.

PPL= Passenger Liner
Which come along in the original SH3.
The Model:

It is quite affimative this the SS Monterey refitted after WWII

SS Monterey 1930

SS Monterey 1970

I wouldn't say the model is wrong because suprisingly despite the lack of details the ship general demensions all checked up.However this is not the ship belongs to the WWII era.The foredeck H kingpost is clearly a modern type and the post and top the ship is a navigation radar.I would not include this model in the basic model database.

I have seen a lot of ship modellers use this model as base to make new ships. It is just not a very good practice and gernerally the outcome is quite poor.
