Well, apart from the Grey Wolves (which you already have), what I do is add all the new ships I can get, the minute they are released.
Also, there is an excellent external application called SH3Gen. It "enhances" / simulates intelligence reports (adjustable to your realism prefferences). It shows you where the areas of interest might be (BBs in ports, convoy positions etc.)
