I can remember when Portland, Me. was a cool small city with its own identity.
Then it became a suburb of Boston and NYC. When people with big bucks migrate, they expect their background luxuries to migrate with them.
All I can say is enjoy your Starbucks soy/kale/seaweed lattes, soccer and snakeskin boots. You've been assimilated.
