You can have a friend hiding behind your monitor. When the DC hits you he can shake the monitor desperatly and even pull the plug to simulate , all lights gone off.
He can also have a sprey can of salt water to sprey your face to simulate a broken pipe. And then put a barrel of water infront of your feet so u can dip your toes in it for more realism if u have flooding
Your wife (if u have one) can stand behind u whit a full bucket of water and toss it over you to simulate rough weather on the bridge. I guess she would love to throw a bucket of water over you
The possibilities are endless if u hide a friend behind your monitor

But i do agree. That shaking thing cant be that hard to implant. Ive seen it in many other games before, But harder part is to implant falling crewmen.
