Has anyone given any thought to modding the range/mast height dial to magnify in a mouse over, like the speed/compass/depth dials? I can't imagine it would be very difficult.

I would try it myself but I have no idea as to where to start. All my programming experience has been in Linux Red Hat with C+, C++ and GTK+.
