I drove like I was trained but no longer given clearance since retirement to the local A&E and fortunately for her the tip of what was cut off wasn't down as far as the tip of the finger bone so she was lucky they could stitch it back on.
Standing across the room from her watching the doctor performing the medical procedure and seeing first hand her reaction is an experience I will never forget.

You should've put it in a jar of water on the window sill and let it grow back to a normal size finger
