I say if they give DC statehood, even though the city was specifically created not to be part of any state, and then next time the Repubs get into power they should allow the breakup of these big Dem states. For example I'm sure that the more conservative upstate New York or western Massachusetts would like to be free of NYC's and Bostons dominance of the state politics. I'm sure it's a pattern that could be repeated in many Democrat dominated states.
