I don't think so. The 4 GB patch thing (or more accurately called "Large Address Aware flag") became popular after GWX 3 release in my recollection. Besides, I am sure they don't contain the SH3.exe executable in the mod. As that would be a breach of copyright.

It's not a SH3 specific thing though. Many other programs may benefit from it. (No garuntees though, ask the software developer about it)
