I thought the max range for the MK14 on high speed was 4500 and slow was 9000? Why did the torpedos disappear from the attack map and seemingly the water aswel. The target ship stayed on course. Using auto targetting by the way

in my experience the only way to explain what happened is:
- premature detonation (see PB's note)
- duds, which are announced and which you say you have disarmed
- max range has been reached
- circle runner that missed you
- misses, which are also announced
