The Battle of Britain was fought 80 years ago to prevent a Nazi Invasion of England. It's incredible to consider the contributions of a 13 year old school girl in the defense of her country. 3000 fighter pilots fought in the air to defend against the vaunted German Luftwaffe from July 10th until October 31, 1940
Great story about the contributions of Hazel Hill.

Good find Commander which brought to mind an old story that, I can't find now, about an RAF pilot apparently dead still flying his Spitfire over the channel chasing a German Messerschmitt and firing his guns at the same time while slumped over in the cockpit.
