"Lockdown Blues" by Eisenwurst.
"It was a dark and stormy night. The wind howled, and the rain came down in buckets. Sam's fingers desperately scrambled to find a toehold on the cliff edge. He could feel it crumbling beneath his fingers. He fell, screaming.....AAAAHHHHHhhhhhh....."
Just then there was a knock on the door. He put down the book he was reading and answered it. There she stood....5'8", long blonde hair covering one eye, broad brim hat, figure hugging dress, long cigarette holder with a smouldering cigarette. Her perfume washed over him......"Mr Spade?"....He quickly glanced at the name on the door.
"Yep, that's me....how can I help you?"
"I'm lost...I'm looking for the "Ladies".
"Down the corridor, first on the left". He said disappointed. He watched her walk out of his life and shut the door.
He went over to the open window and watched the submarine leaving port. The crew were lined up on deck, and the band was playing one of Elvis's songs.
Since the lockdown started not a lot was happening, but it was time for a drink.
The End.
Disclaimer :- No stunning blondes or submarines were harmed in this story. And only the facts were changed to protect the innocent.
