Jeff mentioned above about having AI subs firing torps, I commented on another thread about that.
In SH2 a guy called SergButo made some ai subs that you could attach to your sub in a mission, it worked great.
So if you encountered a convoy you had help sinking the ships but also the DD's were all over the place thus relieving the pressure off you at times.
