Default Real Nav

This is a fun and interesting video

However, on VIIcs for example (like the one that was captured), you had an analog gyroscope that was tied into the helm control.
The Navigator when they could do star/sun/landmark sighting when confident of their position, would zero out the gyroscope.

So, in the end the nav/waypoint tool built into the game represents things well assuming the Navigator could take a sighting each day. Off course in weather.... there would be drift if the gyro hadn't been zeroed out each day.

Interesting in the U-boat logs, each night they put in the actual location (after a sighting and record drift).

All in good fun. Hard work in the game. I guess you could control-click only on days that you had good weather to do a sighting?
