I so wanted to like this since it's a product of a small local brewery in nearby Heckington, the brewers taking their name from the mill there, Britain's only remaining eight-sailed windmil... but when I saw it was cloudy I was not so keen
It turned out to be rather sharp tasting, which doesn't sit well with the bitterness... perhaps it got bottled too soon, I don't know
According to the label it's a golden ale brewed to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, yet there's no mention of the even more significant local link with King John... namely his losing of the Crown Jewels whilst attemting to cross the inland sea here known as The Wash in October 1216
