yep sounds like where on the same wave lenght my current harddrive should be ok gettin on but was quick in its day...soundcards mmm wondered bout that ill see how me old soundblaster runs has been excellent but s/cards r not a prob for me to source...motherboards got a lucky break can source whatever at one price so will max out on that...

SATA sounds interesting...

sorry for the double post and thanks for ya insights this place is a treasure chest of information...as usual it seems the box factory version seems to lack finishing....
