If you are using the oxygen patch you will need to change one of the dials.
HSIE O2-Gauges v2 > LSH3 Compatible > Enable JSGME.
This is how I have set my Hsie.

You will not be able to run at "FLank speed" for very long when the "Diesel Damage Fix" is enabled as you will nedd to stop and make a repair.
The Hsie manual explains all this and with diagrams as well.

Another question I have concerns using the recognition manual. Is there a way, a shortcut I seem to remember, of having the manual open automatically to the ship you have locked in your scope or UZO view? And does this work with auto-target, manual or both?

I have not forgotten this, but I do not have an immediate answer just yet.
