Car Missing After Suspected Gang Murder
Detectives Have Few Leads

PORTLAND -- Police are asking for help finding the car of a man killed in a suspected gang murder.

The body of 28-year-old Chai Taphom was found early Saturday in an alley near Northeast 111th Avenue and Davis Street.
He had several gunshot wounds, and police believe that it was an execution-style murder. Investigators are now trying to find Taphom's car, a 2005, two-door, silver Honda Civic with Oregon license plates 608 BYY. Police have few leads and ask that anyone with information call Detective Whattam at (503) 823-0696 or Detective Shipley at (503) 823-0865.
