World at War is the best documentary series about the Second World War. Won an Emmy for best documentary back then. I bought the VHS version via TV about twenty years ago. All said and done, just under $1000.00. And it's now on DVD for $149.00

. Oh well, I'm still watching those VHS tapes today. I will have to upgrade to DVD

. Bought Victory at Sea on DVD fall for $24.00. Again TV. And the cover shows modern day ships

. Then I get a copy for Christmas from my mom

. I did get a copy of Das Boot (directors cut) at Amazon a few weeks ago for I think $35.00

. Also on my shopping list is Band of Brothers. Coverting from VHS to DVD is sure going to take awhile.
